After thorough research and careful consideration of the best approach to constructing a building within a reasonable timeframe, our leadership has decided to proceed with the Big Top Structure. While there are numerous advantages to erecting this multi-purpose building, we would like to highlight two key reasons.

First, we recognize that Oceans Unite Christian Centre serves many roles beyond that of a church; it is a hub for various community activities. Our center includes a gym, café, bookstore, and programs for feeding and clothing those in need, as well as a preschool. We host numerous events that have become a gathering place for many in our community throughout the week. We also have ambitious plans for further development, including a more extensive playground and an expanded café. We have already initiated a program to empower the women from the House of Transfiguration, creating spaces for entrepreneurship and job opportunities, such as the Taste and See Bakery and Catering. Our next project will be to establish a hair and nail salon. Additionally, we aim to expand Oceans Christian Academy to provide a comprehensive K-12 Christian education and develop a sports center for all ages.

Secondly, our ability to grow within the mall is no longer viable; the management does not have plans for a church and has provided us with a limited timeline. As Oceans Unite continues to grow weekly, we need a solution that allows us to accommodate those eager to join our congregation comfortably. A dedicated space is essential, and while the second phase of our main church building will be exciting and ideal, it would also entail a significantly longer construction timeline, potentially keeping us in the mall for several more years.

In contrast, the Big Top Structure offers a quick and functional solution that provides the necessary space for our expanding congregation and positions us to welcome even more individuals from the Vero Beach community. This structure will enable us to fully pursue the vision God has placed on our hearts.

It is our desire to get Phase One up and running as soon as possible! We expect by the end of 2025 that we will be nearing the end of the process.

Every item has been carefully accounted for in the Phase One development of the new Oceans property and our Real Mission property. We recently received a property donation of around 10 acres behind (but attached to) our property at The Real Mission.

As mentioned earlier, we will establish a temporary space for Oceans Christian Academy in modular buildings with plans to build preschool - 8th grade on the property, while the high school will be built on the new church property.

As for the Café, Gym, Book shop and other facilities - These will likely find new homes within the Big Top.

We aim to continue pursuing the vision God has placed in our hearts and do so with excellence.

While some elements of Phase Two may be a few years away, the permanent church and school buildings will be the foundational starting point. From there, we plan to expand on the existing facilities and introduce new features in the coming years, bringing our vision to life step by step.

We estimate the total cost of Phase One and Phase Two to be between $17 million and $20 million. Fundraising for Phase Two will begin only once the Phase One target has been fully met.
